Welcome, wind-sport enthusiasts! Wind2Speed is a dedicated service providing real-time, hyperlocal wind information for your adventures. We install, maintain, and share data from our own weather stations located at prime wind-sport spots across South Africa.

Wind2Speed was born from frustration within the wind-sport community. Two dedicated windsurfers and engineers from the Western Cape recognized the need for a focused, user-centric dashboard for sailors.
They built the first Wind Widget to meet their own exacting standards for real-time wind data, officially launching the service in December 2022 after extensive input and technical feedback from the local sailing community.
Important Data Note: We are not a forecasting service. Our focus is strictly on providing up-to-date and short-term historical data directly from our weather stations, ensuring you have the most accurate, ground-level information available right now.
